Post: Electrician – 1 Post

Duties and
Responsibilities
i.
Schedule and direct maintenance inside the
engine room.
ii.
Maintain, repair and keep of the Engine room in
good condition.
iii.
Prepare of Engine room incidences and Accident
reports
iv.
Managing Engine room firefighting equipments and
apparatus.
v.
Maintain the Logbook rentries.
vi.
Prepare reports of Engine room.
Qualification and
Experience
·
Holder Certificate of Competence CoC IV (Officer
in charge of Engineering Watch), Have approved qualifications in First Aid,
Fire fighting and Survival and other Mandatories Certificates for Engineer,
Pass seafarer medical test and have experience of not less than 3 years in a
ship’s Engineer position on Lakes or Ocean going ships.

established by the Ports Act No. 17 of 2004 as landlord port authority. It
operates a system of ports serving the Tanzania hinterland and the landlocked
countries of Malawi, Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Burundi,
Rwanda and Uganda.
TPA currently performs the role of both a
Landlord and Operator with the main functions of promoting the use, development
and management of ports and their hinterlands, entering into contracts for the
purpose of delegating the powers of the Authority (through licensing and
concessioning ports services).
