Job Description

The Organisation

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.

We believe in the power and potential of every child. But this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it’s girls who are most affected.

Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children.

We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood. And we enable children to prepare for – and respond to – crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.

We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 80 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Head of Sponsorship Operations to lead the Sponsorship Operations Team, providing functional leadership to the implementation and maintenance of efficient and effective sponsorship systems, policies, projects and approaches to maximise income for programme intervention whilst ensuring that Plan International’s commitments to both sponsors and Sponsored Children are met and safeguarding, gender equality and Plan International’s’ values are embedded throughout.

The Sponsorship Operations team contribute to the delivery of Plan International’s strategy by ensuring all sponsorship products promote and champion the rights of girls and young women.

About You

With deep knowledge of Sponsorship, its role in achieving Plan International’s objectives and it’s risks and challenges you will have proven experience leading the implementation and maintenance of efficient and effective sponsorship systems, policies, projects and approaches to maximise income for programme interventions.

An experienced leader with the ability to engage, influence and negotiate at all levels of the organisation you have a proven track record of successfully implementing large projects or changes, ideally on a multi country, regional or global basis.
