Job Description

Accountabilities:

• Monitor daily site inspections to ensure safety standards are met and that firefighting systems are maintained
• Undertake risk assessments of various production activities to mitigate risks and identify potential hazards
• Plan safe working practices and make necessary changes
• Ensure that equipment is installed correctly/safely
• Investigate/record incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health and provide recommendations for corrective actions
• Manage shift toolbox talks and other presentations and courses to increase awareness of safety
• Organize /attend health and safety meetings
• Control and ensure that hazardous substances are handled safely
• Draft safety procedures for section head review to ensure safety standards are met
• Complete regular HSE reporting, statistics and trends

Job Requirements:

• Education: Technical Institute in an HSE relevant Field
• Years of Experience: 5-7 years
• Language: English
• Computer skills: Ms Office
• Experience in Transformers is a must.
